We have been very gratified by the benefits of our contributions to the Allied Arts Fund. the art organizations supported by Allied Arts provide an important role for increasing the quality of life and vitality of our community. Young people are also given an early exposure to the joy arts can bring totheir lives. Economic conditions may increase the necessity for every community to be active in supporting art organizations if we want to have them continue enriching our lives.

Time for A Tip of the Hat in 2010
The Allied Arts Fund continues to be a key source of funding for many arts organizations in our community. We are united by a common goal of raising $250,000 this year for arts in the Black Hills area. Our eleven Allied Arts member agencies enrich our community with their incredible programming. Their offerings are showcased for you in this publication, something you will want to keep as you plan your own entertainment schedule. Please take a look at the grant and award programs sponsored by the Allied Arts Fund, as you reflect on how much the quality of life in our community would be diminished without a dynamic arts presence. As our past President, Karen Waltman, noted, “The arts are for everyone.”
The quality art events described in these pages would not be possible without the generous help of the City of Rapid City, individuals, businesses, foundations and other sources of the funding provided for us. Your support is needed critically needed to maintain and promote arts initiatives in our community. Please join us as an advocate, financial contributor, performer, volunteer or audience member. Help us reach our 2010 financial goal with “A Tip of the Hat for the Arts” by reviewing the pledge card on the last page of our brochure and making your contribution today. We hope to see you at our Jubilee event on March 4.
